About
Ali advises clients and investors in solar, energy storage and other renewables on strategy and business models. With 15 years of experience in this sector, he has acquired proven expertise across all steps of the solar value chain, spanning international corporate management, strategy, sales, marketing and business development among global market leaders.
Ali has supported corporates, startups and specialised players throughout the value chain in developing and evaluating their business models, strategies and plans. His mission is to accelerate solar adoption and sustainable growth in the cleantech sector. Ali has executed and delivered approximately 3GW of solar technology globally across 31 countries.
Prior to Therawatt, he held several leadership positions in sales, strategy, marketing and business development at multinational companies. Ali started his career at SolarWorld AG, later leading the Middle East and North Africa region, with a focus on distributed generation markets. He then led business development activities at First Solar, overseeing Eastern Europe, Africa, and Turkey, focusing on the utility-scale segment as both co-developer and technology provider.
At Trina Solar, Ali helped establish the Distributed Solar Business Unit in Europe, dedicated to integrated energy storage solutions and focusing on residential and C&I segments. Prior to that, Ali held a senior role at Siemens Energy, supporting its solar and hybrid EPC activities globally focused on utility-scale segment.
Ali graduated from the top French engineering school ESIEA Paris and holds a Master’s in Renewable Energy from the Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble, as well as a Master’s in Marketing and Energy Management from the Grenoble Graduate School of Business.

Maryna advises companies, industry leaders, and innovators in the clean energy sector on regulatory frameworks for hydrogen, e-fuels, renewables and Power-to-X technologies in Germany, Ukraine and the EU. With more than 12 years of experience spanning legal, strategic, and technical aspects of energy transition, she brings deep expertise in certification systems and energy regulation.
She has developed regulatory strategies, supporting multiple projects across the hydrogen value chain. Her work includes development a comprehensive regulatory reports that clarify complex regulatory frameworks for project teams, facilitating risk mitigation, investor confidence, and smooth project execution.
Previously, Maryna served in senior regulatory roles in the energy sector and led the energy practice at one of Ukraine’s top law firms, where she advised on over 2GW of renewable energy projects. She has played an active role in shaping policy by working with key associations and stakeholders across Europe, contributing to major legislative discussions and reforms on hydrogen and CO₂-derived fuels.
Maryna is currently pursuing a PhD on the regulation of Power-to-X technologies in the EU and the US and has published widely on hydrogen law and energy policy topics. Her mission is to drive a just and effective energy transition by aligning regulation with innovation and sustainability goals.
